Statement of Faith

THE SCRIPTURES: God’s perfect words and the final authority on all matters of faith and practice and the instructions for the Christian life. Preserved inerrantly in the Authorized King James Bible.

SALVATION BY GRACE THROUGH FAITH: The free gift of God, neither merited nor secured, in part or in whole, by any virtue or work of man; but received only by penitent persons through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

THE DEITY OF CHRIST: Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Ghost and born of a virgin; the manifestation of God in the flesh, true God and true man; and was victorious over the grave by a bodily resurrection.

RIGHTEOUS LIVING AND GODLY WORKS: Not as a means of salvation in any sense, but as its proper evidence and fruit; and therefore as Christians we should obey the words of our Lord.

THE ORDINANCES GIVEN TO THE CHURCH ARE BAPTISM AND THE LORD’S SUPPER: Baptism is by immersion of believers, thus portraying the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The Lord’s Supper is the partaking of the bread and cup by the believer as a continuing memorial of the broken body and shed blood of Christ.

SEPARATION: The believer should be separated as much as is possible from the world, it's lusts and entanglements, while being present in the world; that he should abstain from all appearances of evil as a testimony to the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ; that the local church should maintain a position of separation from all forms of apostasy, ecumenism, worldliness and any other departure from the written principles of the word of God.

MISSIONS: God has given the Church a Great Commission to proclaim the Gospel to all countries of the world so that there might be knowledge of the truth, light in darkness, and salvation in Jesus Christ available to every kindred and tongue and people and nation.
